Planning the book design
The steps in designing a book are:
- Plan the sequence of pages needed in the book.
- Set up the page styles needed for this sequence of pages.
- Set up the paragraph styles needed.
The figure below shows a typical sequence of pages in a book. Your book may not have all of the pages shown, or it may include other pages (for example, acknowledgements or dedication), but the principles are the same.
