I AM TRYING TO ORDER “GETTING STARTED WITH OPENOFFICE.ORG 3.3″ FROM LULU.COM, BUT THE SITE SAYS IT IS NOT AVAILABLE. ANY THOUGHTS?
Some of Lulu’s printers don’t accept the PDFs and we have to change them. We hope to get this fixed this week. I’m really sorry about
this, it’s a nuisance for many people.
Meanwhile, you can get a free downloadable PDF to use until the printed copies are available.

Jean
I have ordered several books from http://www.half.com and find many of them for 99 cents.
You will benefit from going to that site. I saved a lot money. Ex.: a 39.95 book i got for .99 cents.
The OpenOffice.org books written by OOoAuthors on half.com are NOT the ones published on their behalf. They are the ones that were republished by someone who does not give any of the profits to Ooo. Nor are they very cheap. Some of the books by other people are originals; some may be republished copies; I didn’t look too closely.
After several tries, I think (I hope) I have finally given Lulu.com a PDF that all of their printers will be happy with. Although I followed their “how to do it” instructions exactly, the file continued to have problems. Finally they gave me a different set of instructions.
If you had money refunded on an order because of earlier problems with PDFs, please try again to order the book. If you are successful, we’ll assume I was successful.
